Summer is coming and, with it, the terraces of Barcelona fill up with lovers of good weather in search of fun and an atmosphere. This is why, for 10 days, from June 3 to 12, ‘Barcelona Hotel Terrace Week’ returns to the city with a wide variety of outdoor activities, organized in a total of 66 establishments.
For another year, Arola joins this initiative with an evocative offering that takes place on the restaurant’s splendid restaurant overlooking the sea. On Thursday, June 9, Arola’s terrace becomes the setting for a musical performance by the chef Sergi Arola himself and his brother Natxo, members of the band ‘Joerey’. The group’s performance coincides with the beginning of the famous Arola Nights, a schedule of live music that will take place every Thursday during the summer months.
For the occasion of ‘Barcelona Hotel Terrace Week’, the restaurant will also offer its exquisite gastronomic range, also by the chef Sergi Arola. A delicious variety of signature tapas is complemented by a selection of the best hot and cold nibbles of Mediterranean cuisine, as well as dishes made using seasonal products – an ideal way to start the evening with a sample of tapas or to taste the traditional recipes of Spanish and Catalan cuisine. Before and during the musical performance, the barman Diego Baud will be in charge of livening up the night with a delicious range of cocktails.
‘Barcelona Hotel Terrace Week’is being organized for the sixth time by the Barcelona Hotel Association and offers all kinds of activities, from family events to magician sessions, gastronomic activities and shows. Thanks to the increased number of hotels taking part, the organizers expect to beat the previous year’s attendance figure of 30,000 visitors.
